government agencies, including those in the intelligence community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation for the acronym “OBE” The opening credits feature the characters and scenes of the series interspersed with mirrored glass. Former CIA Director of Counterintelligence James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “spy poet,” described the intelligence game as the “wilderness of mirrors,” a phrase borrowed from a poem by T.S. Eliot called Gerontion (the title is Greek for “little old man,” and the poem is an interior monologue of the opinions and impressions of an elderly man, describing post-World War I Europe through the eyes of a man who lived most of his life in the 19th century).
I hated the first episode
In the intelligence world, in the pursuit of truth, it is difficult to distinguish reality from its reflection, an illusion if you will, as if one were in a “hall of mirrors.” Starring on The Graham Norton Show: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). It was too polished and predictable. It almost felt like they fired the entire writing room and hired a new crew for episode 2.
Dialogue and overall production wise
Episode 1 had major technical flaws as far as the technology used was actually used. Episode 2 was so well done, pacing wise. I understand some of the previous reviews with low ratings…
The writing and the script are everything
BUT if they continue to rely on the over the top dialogue from episode 1 and move forward, abandon the formula for smooth delivery. Which can be so hard to stomach, this could be a truly exceptional production, especially with the talent that has joined this production. I hope they can iron out the early rough spots and it will be a mind-blowing show.
